Professional Accomplishments (Highlights)
Project Management – Has successfully lead and completed numerous projects including: achieving QMS ISO-9001 registration, TS-16949 registration (multiple facilities), EMS ISO-14001 Registration (multiple facilities), Operation Start-up at new facility, developing training programs, enhancing safety program, Information Technology hardware/software upgrade and program management for numerous customer products.
Quality – Has lead and managed quality function with different organizations (including serving as a Management Representative) seeing to the successful development, implementation, training and maintenance of various processes and quality tools including: QMS ISO-9001 & TS-16949, PPAPs( Inc. control plans, FMEA, Gage R&R Capability analysis), document control, 6-sigma, customer relations & complaint management, supply chain management, organizational performance measurement including establishing objectives and action plans and balanced scorecards & KPI determination, Material Review Board and continuous improvement.
Operations – Has lead and managed operations/production function at different organizations seeing to the successful implementation and maintenance of lean manufacturing methods, 5S and P&L management. Responsibility for preventive maintenance and facilities.
Environmental-Safety-Health – Has served in role as safety coordinator working with internal team and externally with OSHA as appropriate to successfully minimize accident rates. Have worked with EPA and other environmental stakeholders to substantially reduce environmental issues including registration to EMS ISO-14001. Have conducted annual safety training.
Engineering – Has lead and served on engineering teams at different organizations regarding product and process engineering activities and projects. This has included introduction of new products, troubleshooting current products and processes and continuous improvement on all products and processes.
Customer Relationship Management – Has served on CRM committees and project teams covering sales and marketing analysis (SWAT), building of business plans and developing & reviewing customer surveys.
Human Resources – Has worked with HR (including leading committee) regarding team building activities to address culture, morale and communication. Don was born and raised in Middle Tennessee where he attended school including college and was employed most of his career. He participated in various varsity sports, clubs and societies while in school. He also has contributed to community support roles such as Little League coach, Teen Center board member & volunteer and Church class leader. Don also enjoys family renovation projects as well as music as an amateur musician.
